hadith 330
Imam Ali (AS) said, Spare no effort in showing affection to your friend, but do not put your entire trust in him; give him all your support, but do not disclose all your secrets to him.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اُبْذُل لِصَديقِكَ كُلَّ المَودَّةِ وَ لا تَبْذُلْ لَهُ كُلَّ الطُّمَأنينةِ وَ أعْطِهِ مِنْ نَفْسِكَ كُلَّ المُواساةِ وَ لا تَقُصَّ إلَيهِ بِكُلِّ أسرارِكَ

hadith 416
Imam Ali (AS) said, [Even] if you have gained confidence and trust in your close friend, safeguard some of your affairs and conceal some of your secrets [from him], for it is possible that you may regret [revealing them] at some time [in the future].
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنِ اسْتَنَمْتَ إلى وَدُودِكَ فَأحْرِزْ لَهُ مِنْ أمْرِكَ وَ استَبْقِ لهُ مِنْ سِرِّكَ مالَعَلَّكَ أنْ تَنْدِمَ عَلَيْهِ وَقتاً ما
