Imam Ali (AS) said, The best of your brothers is one who rushes towards good and pulls you towards it, and enjoins you to righteousness and assists you in it.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : خيرُ إخوانِكَ مَنْ سارَعَ إلَى الخَيرِ و جَذَبَكَ إليه وَ أمَرَكَ بِالبِرِّ وَأعانَكَ علَيْهِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The best brother is the most helpful of them in [performing] good deeds, the most active in doing good deeds and the most affable in companionship.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : خَيرُ الإخْوانِ أعْوَنُهُمْ عَلى الخَيْرِ وأعْمَلُهُمْ بِالبِرِّ و أرْفَقُهُمْ بِالمُصاحِبِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The worst of your brothers is the one who is slow in performing good deeds and slows you down [from doing good] along with him.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : شرُّ إخوانِكَ مَنْ تَثبَّطَ (يَتبَطّئُ) عنِ الخَيرِ وَ ثبَّطكَ (ويُبَطِّئُكَ) معَهُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, One who calls you towards the Eternal Abode and assists you to work for it, then he is indeed a caring friend.
