Imam Ali (AS) said, The root of piety is keeping away from sins and refraining from the forbidden.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أصْلُ الوَرَعِ تَجَنُّبُ الآثامِ وَ التَّنَزُّهُ عَنِ الحَرامِ
