Fatima al-Zahra (AS) said, ‘Allah made the prayer incumbent in order to eliminate ones pride.
فاطمةُ الزَّهراءُ (عَلَيهَا الّسَلامُ): فَرَضَ اللّهُ الصَّلاةَ تَنزِيها مِن الكِبرِ.

Imam al-Baqir (AS) said, ‘Prayer reinforces sincerity and eliminates pride.
