28-41 Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ishaq - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Hamadani quoted on the authority of Ali ibn Al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Fadhdhal, on the authority ofhis father
“I heard Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha (s) say, ‘God will forgive the sins of whoever asks for forgiveness seventy times during the (Arabic) month of Ramadan even if his sins are as numerous as the stars.’”
41 - حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْراهيمِ بْنِ إِسْحاق رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّد الهَمْدانِيَأَخْبَرَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ فضال، عَن أَبيهِ قالَ
سَمِعتُ عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسَـىالرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ يَقُولُ من استغفر اللَّه تَبارَكَ وَتَعالى فِي شَعْبانَ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً غفر اللَّه لَهُ ذُنُوبه وَلَوْ كانَتْ مثل عَدَدُ النُّجُوم.
