Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Death is preferable over a life of disgrace. Frugal living is preferable over begging from others.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): المَنِيَّةُ ولا الدَّنِيَّةُ ، والتَّقَلُّلُ ولا التَوَسُّلُ.
