Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘When Allah loves a people, or a certain servant, He pours ordeals down heavily on him, so that whenever he exits from a [source of] anguish he falls into another.
الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): إذا أحَبَّ اللّهُ قَوماً أو أحبَّ عبداً صَبَّ علَيهِ البلاءَ صَبّا، فلا يَخرُجُ مِن غَمٍّ إلّا وقَعَ في غَمٍّ.
