Imam Sadiq (a.s) narrated that
a man went to see the Prophet (a.s) and said: “O' Prophet of God! Give me some advice.” The Prophet (a.s) said: “Do not designate anything as a partner to God even if you are tortured or burned. Always strengthen your heart with faith. Obey your parents, and treat them with kindness whether they are alive or dead. Even if they order you to abandon your family and wealth do it since this act is done out of faith.”
