Imam Ali (AS) said, When a noble-minded person needs you he excuses you [from helping him] and when you need him he suffices you.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلْكَريمُ إذَا احْتاجَ إلَيْكَ أعْفاكَ وَ إذَا احْتَجْتَ إلَيْهِ كَفاكَ
