Imam Ali (AS) said, No closeness is achieved through recommended actions if they hamper the obligatory actions.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لاقُرْبَةَ بِالنَّوافِلِ إذا أضَرَّتْ بِالفَرائِضِ
