Imam Ali (AS) said, It is when [the time of] death comes that the failure of [ones] aspirations become apparent.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : عِنْدَ حُضُورِ الآجالِ تَظْهَرُ خَيْبَةُ الآمالِ
