Imam Ali (AS) said, The remembrance of [the times of] death has disappeared from your hearts and has been replaced by false hopes and aspirations.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : قَدْ غابَ عَنْ قُلُوبِكُمْ ذِكرُ الآجالِ وَحَضَرَتْكُمْ كَواذِبُ الآمالِ
