Imam Ali (AS) said, Love of this world corrupts the intellect, preoccupies the heart from listening to [words of] wisdom and leads to a painful chastisement [in the Hereafter].
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : حُبُّ الدُّنْيا يُفْسِدُ العَقْلَ وَ يُهِمُّ القَلْبَ عَنْ سَماعِ الحِكْمَةِ وَيُوجِبُ أليمَ العِقابِ
