Imam Ali (AS) said, This world is [obtained] by convention, the Hereafter is [gained] by merit.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلدُّنْيا بِالاتِّفاقِ اَلآخِرَةُ بِالاسْتِحقاقِ
