Imam Ali (AS) said, O world, O world! Get away from me! Is it me that you present yourself to? Or is it I that you are eager for? May your time never come! Deceive some other person. I have no need for you. I have divorced you thrice, after which there is no reunion. Your life is short, your significance is little and your hope is worthless. Alas! How meagre the provision, how long the way, how distant the journey and how great the destination!
