Imam Ali (AS) said, Keep away from love of this world, for it is the root of every misdeed and the source of every affliction.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إيّاكَ وَ حُبَّ الدُّنيا فَإنَّها أصْلُ كُلِّ خَطيئَة وَمَعْدِنُ كُلِّ بَلِيَّة
