Imam Ali (AS) said, Verily if you do good [to others] then you are [actually] honouring your own soul and doing good to it.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إنَّكَ إنْ أحْسَنْتَ فَنَفْسَكَ تُكْرِمُ وَ إلَيْها تُحْسِنُ
