Imam Ali (AS) said, Your vain desire is a greater enemy towards you than all [other] enemies, so overpower it otherwise it will destroy you.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : هَواكَ أعْدى عَلَيْكَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَدُوّ فَأغْلِبْهُ وَ إلاّ أهْلَكَكَ
