8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Najran from ‘Asem ibn Hamid from Muhammad ibn Qays who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin, about a prey that is found dead with an arrow in it and it is not known who has killed it, said, ’Do not use it for food.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) فِي صَيْدٍ وُجِدَ فِيهِ سَهْمٌ وَ هُوَ مَيِّتٌ لَا يُدْرَى مَنْ قَتَلَهُ قَالَ لَا تَطْعَمْهُ .
