8. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Amr ibn Sa‘id from al-Hassan ibn al-Jahm and ibn Faddal all have said the following
“We asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about al-Fuqa’. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is unlawful, it is an unknown wine and its penalty is the same as that which is for wine.”’
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ وَ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ جَمِيعاً قَالَا سَأَلْنَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْفُقَّاعِ فَقَالَ
حَرَامٌ وَ هُوَ خَمْرٌ مَجْهُولٌ وَ فِيهِ حَدُّ شَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ .
