“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida 5 (a.s.), has said, figs remove bad-breath (halitosis), brings firmness to the teeth and bones, grows hairs and dispels illness and with it medicine is not needed. 5 He (the Imam) has said, ‘The fig is most similar to the plants of paradise. 5 ” Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Ahmad ibn al-Ash‘ath from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr a similar Hadith.’”
