19. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayar from Hammad from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following
about how much al-Khums is on treasures. “One fifth of treasure found is paid as al-Khums.” The question said, “How much is on minerals?” The Imam (a.s.) said, “one fifth. So is lead, zinc and iron. All minerals are like gold and silver on which the religious due is one fifth.”
