Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Verily the spirits neither merge with the body nor are they independent of it. Rather they are like a thin veil surrounding the body.
الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): إنّ الأرواحَ لا تُمازِجُ البَدَنَ ولا تُواكِلُهُ ، وإنّما هِي كِلَلٌ لِلبَدَنِ مُحِيطَةٌ به.
