hadith 3547
Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Allah, the Exalted, decreed reward for obeying Him and chastisement for disobeying Him, in order to protect His servants against His wrath and to herd them to His Paradise.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): إنَّ اللّهَ سُبحانَهُ وَضَعَ الثّوابَ على طاعَتِهِ والعِقابَ على مَعصِيَتِهِ ذِيادَةً لِعبادِهِ عَن نِقْمَتِهِ، وحِياشَةً لَهُم إلى جَنَّتِهِ.
