hadith 1405
Allah, Mighty and Exalted, revealed to Prophet Moses (AS), 'That you kill not the Samiri, for verily he is a generous man.
أوحى اللّهُ عزّوجلّ إلى موسى (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): أن لا تَقتُلِ السّامِرِيَّ، فإنّهُ سَخِيٌّ.

hadith 1406
The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'The generous person is close to Allah, close to people and close to Paradise.
رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): السَّخِيُّ قَريبٌ مِنَ اللّهِ، قريبٌ مِن الناسِ ، قَريبٌ مِن الجَنَّةِ.

hadith 1407
The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Relinquish the generous person's sin for verily Allah takes him by the hand every time he slips.
رسولُ اللهِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): تَجافَوا عن ذَنبِ السَّخِيِّ فإنَّ اللّهَ آخِذٌ بيدِهِ كُلَّما عَثَرَ .

hadith 1408
Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'A generous youth burdened by sins is more beloved to Allah than a worshipping but miserly old man.
الإمامُ الصّادقُ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): شابٌّ سَخِيٌّ مُرَهَّقٌ في الذُّنوبِ أحَبُّ إلى اللّهِ عزّوجلّ مِن شَيخٍ عابِدٍ بَخيلٍ .

hadith 1409
Imam al-Rida (AS) said, 'The generous person partakes of other people's food in order that they may [feel comfortable to] partake of his food, whereas the miser does not partake of others' food so that they may not eat from his.
الإمامُ الرِّضا (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): السَّخِيُّ يَأكُلُ مِن طَعامِ الناسِ لِيَأكُلُوا مِن طَعامِهِ ، والبَخيلُ لا يَأكُلُ مِن طَعامِ الناسِ لِئَلاّ يَأكُلُوا مِن طَعامِهِ .
