Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Fear is the souls prison [preventing it] from sinning and is its deterrent from disobedience.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : الخَوفُ سِجْنُ النّفْسِ عَن الذُّنوبِ ، ورادِعُها عنِ المَعاصي .
