Imam Sadiq (a.s) quoted on the authority of Ameer al- Momineen (a.s)
“You must feel to be needless and in need of the people at the same time. You must feel needy of them and treat them with kindness and you must feel needless of them and maintain your honor and pride.”
عنه (عليه السلام) قال
كان أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام) يقول: ليجتمع في قلبك الافتقار إلى الناس والاستغناء عنهم، فيكون افتقارك إليهم في لين كلامك وحسن بشرك، ويكون استغناؤك عنهم في نزاهة عرضك وبقاء عزك.
