Imam Ali (AS) said, Weeping out of the fear of Allah illuminates the heart and protects [one] from repetition of sin.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلبُكاءُ مِنْ خَشيَةِ اللّهِ يُنيرُ القَلبَ وَ يَعْصِمُ مِنْ مُعاوَدَةِ الذَّنْبِ
