Imam Ali (AS) said, Hold your souls to account for their deeds and seek from them the fulfilment of what is obligatory on them and their taking from the evanescent for the eternal; and gather provisions and make preparations before you are resurrected [on the Day of Reckoning].
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : حاسِبُوا أنْفُسَكُمْ بِأعْمالِها وَ طالِبُوها بِأداءِ الْمَفْرُوضِ عَلَيْها وَالأخْذِ مِنْ فَنائِها لِبَقائِها وَ تَزَوَّدُوا وَ تَأهَّبُوا قَبْلَ أنْ تُبْعَثُوا
