Imam Ali (AS) said, The God-wary person is one whose lustful desire is dead, whose anger is suppressed, and who is thankful in times of comfort and patient in times of hardships.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلمُتَّقي مَيْتَةٌ شَهْوَتُهُ مَكْظُومٌ غَيْظُهُ فِي الرَّخاءِ شَكُورٌ وفِي المَكارِهِ صَبُورٌ
