Imam Ali (AS) said, The most religious of all people is one whose religiosity is not corrupted by [lustful] desire.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أدْيَنُ النّاسِ مَنْ لَمْ تُفْسِدِ الشَّهْوَةُ دينَهُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Six things are used to test the faith of a man: the strength of his religion, the truth of his conviction, the intensity of his piety, his overcoming vain desires, the paucity of his [worldly] inclinations and his being moderate in what he seeks.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : سِتَّةٌ يُخْتَبَرُ بِها دينُ الرَّجلِ: قُوَّةُ الدينِ وصِدْقُ اليَقينِ وَشِدَّةُ التَّقوى وَ مُغالَبَةُ الهَوى وَ قِلَّةُ الرَّغْبِ والإجْمالُ فِي الطَّلَبِ
