Imam Ali (AS) said, Deceiving a friend and being disloyal to ones pledges are from [the acts of] betrayal of ones covenant.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : غِشُّ الصَّديقِ وَ الغَدْرُ بِالمَواثيقِ مِنْ خِيانَةِ العَهْدِ
