hadith 4791
Imam Ali (AS) said, The most effective thing that makes a blessing last longer is gratitude and the greatest thing by which tribulations are overcome is patience.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أبْلَغُ ما تُسْتَمَدُّ بِهِ النِّعْمَةُ الشُّكْرُ وَ أعْظَمُ ما تَمَحَّصَ بِهِ المِحْنَةُ الصَّبْرُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, You must give thanks [both] in ease and adversity.
