Imam Ali (AS) said, The eminent one is envied and the munificent one is loved and adored.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلسَّيِّدُ مَحْسُودٌ وَ الجَوادُ مَحْبُوبٌ مَوْدُودٌ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The eminent person is one who bears the burdens of his brothers and is neighbourly to his neighbour.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلسَّيِّدُ مَنْ تَحَمَّلَ أثْقالَ إخْوانِهِ وَ أحْسَنَ مُجاوَرَةَ جيرانِهِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The eminent person is one who neither flatters nor deceives, nor is he beguiled by greedy ambitions.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلسَّيِّدُ مَنْ لا يُصانِعُ وَلا يُخادِعُ وَلا تَغُرُّهُ المَطامِعُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The eminent person is one who bears the responsibility of providing [for others] and is generous with his assistance.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلسَّيِّدُ مَنْ تَحَمَّلَ المَؤُنَةَ وَجادَ بِالمَعُونَةِ
