Imam Ali (AS) said, Deprivation is abandonment.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اَلحِرمانُ خِذْلانٌ
hadith 1704
Imam Ali (AS) said, I wonder at the person who hopes for favour from the one who is above him, how can he deprive the one who is below him [of his own favour]?
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ يَرْجُو فَضْلَ مَنْ فَوْقَهُ كَيْفَ يَحْرُمُ مَنْ دُونَهُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, The anguish of deprivation will not be calmed until acquisition is realized.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لَنْ تَسْكُنَ حُرْقَةُ الحِرْمانِ حَتّى يَتَحَقَّقَ الوِجْدانُ
hadith 1706
Imam Ali (AS) said, Do not deprive the distressed even if he is extravagant.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : لاتَحْرِمِ المُضْطَرَّ وَ إنْ أسْرَفَ
