Imam Ali (AS) said, Pardon bears more fruit with admission [of ones guilt] than it does with giving excuses.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : يُسْتَثْمَرُ العَفْوُ بِالإقْرارِ أكْثَرَ مِمّا يُسْتَثْمَرُ بِالاِعْتِذارِ
